This Privacy Policy describes how Let's Ride LLC ("Let's Ride," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information about you when you use our mobile applications, website at letsrideoffroad.com, and related services (collectively, the "Services"). By using the Services, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information we collect

Information you provide

  • Account information: name, email address, phone number, password, profile photo, vehicle and rider preferences.
  • Content: rides, routes, posts, photos, comments, messages, and other content you submit to the Services.
  • Payments: if you purchase a paid membership or business plan, our payment processor collects payment information; we do not store full card numbers on our servers.
  • Communications: when you contact us for support or other inquiries, we retain a record of your communication.

Information collected automatically

  • Location data: with your permission, we collect precise GPS location data to enable ride tracking, map-based discovery, and proximity features. You can revoke location access from your device settings at any time. Background location collection only occurs when you have an active ride session.
  • Device information: device model, operating system, app version, language, and a generated device identifier.
  • Usage data: how you interact with the Services, including features used, pages viewed, and approximate timestamps.
  • Crash and diagnostic data: we collect anonymized diagnostic data to identify and fix issues.

Information from third parties

  • If you sign in with Apple, Google, or another supported provider, we receive basic profile information from that provider.
  • Map tiles and place data are provided by Mapbox and other map providers.

2. How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Services, including features like ride tracking, discovery, and rewards.
  • Personalize your experience and surface relevant trails, events, and businesses near you.
  • Communicate with you about your account, security, and product updates.
  • Process payments and manage memberships.
  • Detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

3. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information in the following limited circumstances:

  • With other users: content you choose to share publicly (rides, posts, profile information) is visible to other users. You control your privacy settings for individual posts and rides.
  • Service providers: we share information with third parties that perform services on our behalf, including hosting (Amazon Web Services), analytics, mapping (Mapbox), email delivery, and payment processing (Stripe). These providers are contractually limited in how they may use your information.
  • Legal and safety: we may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Let's Ride, our users, or others.
  • Business transfers: if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

4. Your choices

  • Location: you can revoke location permissions at any time from your device settings. Some features will not work without location access.
  • Profile visibility: you can adjust who sees your rides, posts, and profile in app settings.
  • Notifications: you can enable or disable push and email notifications at any time.
  • Account deletion: you can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting support@letsrideoffroad.com or using the in-app delete account flow.
  • Marketing opt-out: you can unsubscribe from marketing email at any time using the link in any marketing email we send.

5. Data retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable time, except where we are required to retain it to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.

6. Children

The Services are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided information to us, please contact us and we will delete it.

7. Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. International users

The Services are operated in the United States. If you access the Services from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States.

9. California privacy rights

If you are a California resident, you have the right to request information about the personal information we collect, to request deletion of your personal information, and to opt out of the "sale" of personal information (we do not sell personal information). 10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the Services or by email. The "Last updated" date at the top of this policy reflects when it was last changed.
